Summary:

TheHuman Resource Manager maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices; ensures new hire paperwork is completed and processed. Assists Security Assistant in following security processes and protocols established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to ensure all employees on the CIMS contract have Public Trust accounts or Secret clearances are required of their positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Provides HR process services. For example, may be asked to perform some of the following tasks: conduct training; develop, interpret and provide guidance on HR policies; process personnel transactions into Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS);

· Efficiently assists, researches and answers benefit inquiries from employees.

· Conduct Benefit presentations during New Hire Orientation; travel required.

· Process new hire paperwork via applicant tracking system as well as follow up with candidates regarding missing documentation and follow up with Corporate HR to ensure timely processing

· Schedule pre-employment drug testing and run background checks on new hires and notify HR Manager of candidates’ eligibility for hire prior to scheduled date of hire

· Process Employee Action Request (EAR) changes, i.e., salary increases; project and PLC changes; and supervisor changes within 24 hours of notification and follow up with Corporate HR to ensure timely processing;

· Process TEARs as soon as notice is received that the employee is departing

· Maintain hiring records in compliance with government requirements

· Adhere to all Chenega Corporate employment policies and procedures.

· Maintain compliance of performance review policies for both initial and annual evaluations; Follow-up with supervisor to ensure evaluation was conducted.

· Reviews and assures compliance with contract requirements related to human resources.

· Manages personnel actions to include hiring, orientation of new employees, disciplinary actions, etc.

· Responsible for contract correspondence and contract deliverables pertaining to human resources.

· Conducts or attends meetings involving human resources and security issues.

· Prepares ‘Customer Update’ presentations, providing operational support information, special interest concerns, project status data, and other information requested by the customer.

· Coordinates with Finance Manager to ensure timely completion of timesheets on a weekly basis.

· Conducts annual corporate training for contract employees.

· Maintains all collective bargaining agreements for the unions within the contract.

· Will be a team member on an Emergency Management team such as the

CBRNE/HAZMAT Technical team or other team(s) as required by the company to meet contract requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in human resources

· Government services contract experience highly desirable.

· If needed, the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
