Purpose of Position:
This position will provide comprehensive Medical and Psychiatric Nursing Care for a group of approximately thirty-six (36) adolescent male residents at a Mental Health Treatment Center. The incumbent may treat and educate patients, administer medication, and provide highly specialized nursing care and emergency care as needed.

This position is a Pay Band 80.
Registered Nurse Advanced
Associates Degree in Nursing or graduation from a NLN accredited program accepted by the New Mexico Board of Nursing and three (3) years paid experience as a Registered Nurse.
Employment is subject to criminal background check and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Certification from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Successful completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses are required as condition of continued employment. Post offer Pre-employment Tuberculosis Test (TB) is required.
All applicants for this position must be licensed in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act § 61-3-2 through 61-3-31 NMSA 1978 and 16.12.1 through 16.12.20 NMAC, as applicable. You must include your license or certificate number in the "License" section of the application form.

Work is performed in an adolescent treatment center, with exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged patients, who may exhibit unpredictable behaviors. This position will perform work in an office setting using related office equipment with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Ability to lift in excess of One Hundred (100) pounds with assistance using proper lifting and transfer techniques may be required.
