U.S. Bank Negotiations & Credit Operations Manager in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Manages and coordinates the negotiations and credit operational activities for assigned business lines and functional areas. Ensures quality service and effective operations support for all of the assigned internal and external customers. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Works cross-functionally on a consistent basis with legal, documentation, tax, credit, insurance, customer service, source review, source support and integration, technology and other areas as required. Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units, coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective and working on cross-functional teams.

Responsibility includes oversight and direct management of document negotiations for division business lines except GLF. Including but not limited to:

• Management, administration of changes or refreshes, and maintenance of all document templates for OEVS

• Support of all management, changes or refreshes, and maintenance of USBEF document templates and other vendor specific document templates

• Communication and dissemination of document templates under your control

• Management of negotiations for all business lines but GLF

• Management of all negotiation approval matrices and revisions as approved by the business lines

• Support and communication to EF Legal in order to routinely update all small and large ticket negotiation playbooks, including Landlord/Host Waiver playbook and guaranties playbook

• Manage specific negotiations working with outside counsel and manage relationships with outside counsel, including periodic training for staff

• Manage all small ticket SLG-Muni Negotiations and specialist(s) and work with both in house and outside counsel to respond to ongoing regulatory issues and communicate routinely to USBEF stakeholders (credit, sales, documentation)

• Write, edit, circulate for review, ensure final signoff and maintain/update as required all desk manuals and SOPs related to negotiations

• Provide training and presentations on specific issues related to negotiations, SLG-Muni requirements and related operational issues

• Collaborate with source review and source support and integration as needed to ensure specific vendor program issues are addressed as they pertain to ongoing negotiations

• Collaborate with all BL documentation teams routinely to ensure smooth handoffs and transitions between teams

• Provide leadership training as needed for various programs such as Professional Skills Training, Manager Development Program and National Customer Service Week

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of operations/documentation experience in the financial services industry

  • Five or more years of supervisory/management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Considerable knowledge of operation functions, systems, policies and procedures for assigned area

  • In-depth understanding and practical application of applicable laws and regulations

  • Excellent organizational, managerial and project management skills

  • Well-developed customer relations skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Thorough knowledge of banking operations and human resources

  • Medium to advanced knowledge of business and/or contract law

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge
