Purpose of Position:
This position will conduct surveys and investigations of all types of Licensed Only health facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, and write formal reports of findings.
THIS POSTING WILL BE USED TO CONDUCT ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED.
This position is a Pay Band 65.
Healthcare Surveyor Operational
Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Architecture, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Rehabilitation and/or Criminal Justice and two (2) years directly related experience in community based healthcare services, investigations, inspections and/or case management. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Must receive the Quality Indicator Surveyor (QIS) Certification, Basic Quality Indicator Surveyor (QIS), Long Term Care Surveyor Training and Basic Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID's) Surveyor Training Course. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Successful completion of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training is required.

Work is performed in an office and in healthcare facilities using related office equipment, with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Extensive travel with frequent overnight stays is required.
