Position: BIM Technician

BG has an opportunity for a motivated mechanical, electrical, plumbing BIM Technician. Under general supervision, the BIM Technician carries out a variety of drafting assignments using independent judgment and initiative utilizing CADD, Revit and other relevant software for modeling required to execute designs utilizing BIM.
Education/Registrations – Minimum of an associates degree in Architectural or Mechanical drafting or higher.
Experience – 2-5 years in REVIT modeling / production
Objective – Under general supervision, carries out a variety of drafting assignments using independent judgment and initiative utilizing Revit and other relevant software for modeling required to execute construction document designs and production.
Prepares layouts, drawings and designs according to engineering specifications using, Revit or related software.
Retrieves information from files, edits, produces hardcopies and updates drawings/designs.
Reviews engineering drawings and documentation, resolves undefined details.
Develop detailed drawings from rough sketches, design redlines, general engineering, and design information via verbal and written instructions.
Setup and process 3d models in REVIT for creation of MEP construction documents.
Understand and adhere to company’s modeling and drafting standards.
Maintain and ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
Publish and coordinate drawing deliverables according to project schedules.
Requires coordination and communication across multiple office locations creating the utmost quality construction documents.
Maintain documentation and follow electronic filing protocol.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Able to work and adapt in a deadline driven environment.
Ability to read and understand construction documents.
Familiar with plotter & publishing tasks.
